Unwritten Law's Music In High Places will be releaced on DVD in the USA June 17th.
It will be releaced in AUS on July 21.

Sorry again for not updating the site much, i been busy alot latly.
I'll get you up to date on what's been going on and will have a lot more updates too come.
First off UL has been doing little tour for the acoustic MIHP CD.
I posted about the show in ATL below.
99X still hasn't aired the performance because of some of the things that went on at the concert.
Like rollin a joint on stage tons of cursing that kind of shit.
If and when it does though i will record it and get it on the site.
Also there will be more mp3's on the site soon.
UL is doing a huge show here in Atlanta GA, on May 2.
Other big bands like Def Lepard, Live, Everclear, and tons more.
Tickets for 3 days are $45.
If your around you really need to go to this concert there allways good.
You might have noticed the official site is down.
Well i guess there have been some problems between Dean (the old webmaster of ulpunk.com and the official UL site) and record laybel, Lava records.
Dean i don't believe will be running it now someone from Lava will and it will be a whole new site and prob with a lot less content.
Please use this site to find your UL info. There will be a lot more news to come.
UL is now writting songs for a new cd.
If you were at the live 99x show in ATL you heard a couple of them and they sound great!

Hey again, sorry I havn't updated the site latly been really busy around here.
I would like to tell you about the UL concert i went to in ATL, GA though. One word AWESOME!!! it was the best damn UL show I've ever seen. It was an acoustic show for 99x's live cd. UL played a bunch of covers. They played two new songs, one was called the Wallrus and was about radio and band's selling out i believe. They played covers like Sweet Home Alabama, Grinspoon songs, and Sublime. I took a lot of pics and i am going to record it off the radio when it is play Sunday and try to put it up on the site. So check back for updates on the show and more updates on UL.
Unwritten law's Rest of my life is # 9 on the Modern rock charts.

UL's new cd is set to be released in AUS on JAN 31 03. The new Single ROML is set to hit the radio JAN 13th.
So i've been getting a lot of emails and IM's about where to buy the new live cd? Well you can no longer get them off the net. Jan 21 it will be in stores. And you might be able to find one on ebay.

Band To Release New Album ‘Music In High Places’ January 21, 2003
DECEMBER 02, 2002—NEW YORK, NY—Veteran rockers Unwritten Law have inked a multi-album recording contract with Lava Records, home of Kid Rock, Uncle Kracker, Porcupine Tree, Trans Siberian Orchestra and Simple Plan. The band will release Music In High Places, an album recorded in Wyoming at Yellowstone National Park, in conjunction with the MTV program of the same name. The album will be released on Lava Records January 21, 2003.
Music In High Places features 11 stripped-down, re-worked tracks, culled from the band’s catalog. The disc is both a creative and surprising tribute to the band’s musicianship, songwriting and punk/pop success. While recording the album, the band experienced challenges far beyond the traditional recording process. Each track was given a life of its own—some songs were recorded at the edge of a geyser, others feature traditional Native American drummers and vocalists. Overall, the disc captures poetry and lyricism that’s not immediately evident on the earlier album versions of the tracks.
Unwritten Law formed in the early 1990’s and scored a chart-topping #1 single with “Seein’ Red” earlier this year.

Unwritten Law has found a new label.
UL will now be on Lava Records/Atlantic Records, if you don't know about then they are a kick ass label and my personal thoughts on it is that it was a great move.
Lava is a part of Atlantic Records which is a huge label with bands like Matchbox 20.
They signed for a multi-record deal so they might be on the laybel for more than two album's.
Prob not tho, knowing UL.
The upcoming album "MIHP" will be relased on there new label 01/21/03
Here's what MTV said about it.
"Following a fallout with former label Interscope, Southern California rockers Unwritten Law have found a new home on Lava Records, joining Kid Rock, Uncle Kracker and Simple Plan on the label's roster. The 11-track MIHP a stripped-down, best-of LP recorded at Yellowstone National Park, is the first of the band's multi-album commitment to the label, and will drop January 21."

The Bomber that bombed Steve from UL will most likely get 240 days in jail.
A man who use dryice bomb that injured UL's, Steve Morris will receive about 240 days in a county jail. - Reports "San Diego Union Tribune".
"Computer programmer Martel Duvigneaud, 22, pled guilty to felony assault and possession of an explosive. Those were plea bargained from more severe charges that could have had the man serving 16 years in prison.
San Diego Superior Court Judge Frederick Maguire said he plans on giving the man 240 days of detention. The judge postponed the actual sentencing to December 12 in order to give Duvigneaud a chance to find a job that would allow him to work during the day.
A dry-ice bomb planted by Duvigneaud exploded injuring Morris, his girlfriend, a sheriff's deputy, and a security guard in Encinitas, California on August 29. The bombing was allegedly motivated over a dispute about apartment noise.
The guitarist suffered injuries to his arms and eardrums, and the band missed four dates due to the injuries.
"What I did was wrong," said Duvigneaud. "I know that. I'm very sorry I did it. I feel horrible about it."

About Unwritten Law being dropped by Interscope; the band's contract recently came to an end. Either Interscope was to resign them or not. They chose not to, and by doing so, UL was "dropped" by Interscope.

Interscope has been known to do stuff like this but I thought UL was just on the verge of really bringing in some of the money major labels like to see. Hey, I'm kinda sorry to bring this news but kinda happy, Unwritten Law has been droped from Interscope. We had news that there was a rumor they would and apparently it's true. No news on who will pick them up but i'm sure they wont have a problem with that. I'm trying not to say anything bad about Interscope I mean there ok.

"Unwritten Law guitarist Steve Morris apparently has the law on his side, as his neighbor Martel Duvigneaud pleaded guilty on Thursday to felony assault and possession of an explosive and is now facing up to four years in prison and a $10,000 fine, according to the Associated Press. In August, after making several noise complaints, Duvigneaud left two homemade explosive devices at Morris' home, one of which injured the guitarist and forced him to miss four concert dates ... "
